Nurturing, compassionate support for you,
throughout pregnancy, birth and beyond.

Navigating the challenges of pregnancy and birth, and adjusting to life with a new baby can be challenging.

If you are struggling to find your feet as a new parent, feeling anxious, low or just need to talk things through with someone who can listen, understand and help you to make sense of your experience, you are in the right place.

About me

I'm Dr Emma Rowley, a dual-trained Clinical Psychologist and Registered Midwife with over fifteen years' experience supporting women, birthing couples and families as they navigate pregnancy, childbirth and the transition to parenthood.

*

I offer specialised psychological support, including trauma-focused therapy, during the period from pre-conception to the early parenthood years, sometimes called the 'perinatal' period.

*

Alongside individual therapy, I have been privileged to work closely with families who have needed additional practical and emotional support following childbirth, offering highly skilled and compassionate 'doula' care to those who have been through a difficult pregnancy or birth.

*

I also facilitate regular mindfulness-based childbirth and early parenting courses.  â€‹â€‹

*

All of my work is underpinned by a warm, compassionate and collaborative approach, working with you to develop a shared understanding of the difficulties you are experiencing, and how we can work together to create positive change.

"Emma's mindful birthing course gave us invaluable tools to support us through pregnancy, labour and right through to life with a new baby..not only for me but my husband too. She transformed the way we thought about labour and gave us the confidence to make informed decisions that we felt were best for us and our baby."
